I followed the instructions on this post to create a simple workflow for adding a watermark to each page of a 250+ page PDF. I am sure there are paid and free tools that make this possible to do, but I really liked the idea of creating a 'Workflow' in Automator that followed this simple logic.
  1. Ask for Finder Items - a prompt comes up asking for the source PDF that needs the watermark.
  2. Watermark PDF Documents - add the watermark image (I created an image in another program), select the angle, position, and opacity.
  3. Move Finder Items - state where you want the file to end up (I chose my desktop).
When I selected Run, it worked exactly as intended. There are so many possible flows to set up in Automator. I need to dive more deeply into it because it's one of the less-used productivity tools in my own flow.
