I have become proficient at spotting poison ivy, and I am testing my limits for removing it without yet having any reactions to it. Here is a quick guide to what I have learned.

Someone was telling me about listening to old Metallica albums. One thing that I always found fun was that they would have songs that opened very peacefully and then the metal would kick in.
Steve and I had the opportunity to share at Tomorrow's Classrooms Today 2016 at Rider University this past weekend. Put on buy the founders of #satchat, it was a terrific gathering of teachers and leaders. Steve and I presented some of the ideas from the book. Here are some of the slides we used (not all of them, and not in any particular sequence or order). Today I played around with the 60 FPS setting in Explain Everything and on my iPhone. It's really amazing that this can be done with an iPad or iPhone. You can really see the high framerate when I shrink the word 'Hello' and also on the embedded video on the second slide. Apologies for the noise - I was banging my iPad with an Apple Pencil (normally I wear a headset so the microphone doesn't pick up my very deliberate gestures). Over the weekend I got to hear Will Richardson speak for probably the 3rd or 4th time in the last several years. I especially appreciated his focus on individual and organizational beliefs as it is something I have been researching/exploring/speaking about more and more in my own work. Here are my notes from his talk.
The barista at my favorite coffee spot in NYC made an elephant in my cappuccino this morning.
Mostly made on an iPad with one real guitar recorded, it follows a similar pattern to something I put together a few months ago.
Steve sent me an early paper draft of some musings as we were preparing to write Blending Leadership.
With the new Draw Fill option in Explain Everything, it is possible to construct irregular polygons with more-or-less straight edges simply by drawing dots or points at each intended vertex. |
