Poet Laureate: Millionaire Iambic Tetrameter

Here is an explanation of my thinking through the first 8 questions on the first episode of Who Wants to be Millionaire which aired yesterday. Since it's Friday today I have written it in modified iambic tetrameter.
I will explain my thoughts and plans
by first stating I would not guess
while having lifelines left in hand
to better guarantee success.

Nervous was I on question one,
did not get it, must dodge a travesty.
Was fixated on Michael's son
could not believe the name Jermajesty.

So asked the audience and thank goodness
They saw clearly, would not be fallen
Question two now, back to business
An easy one about pollen.

Now question three also easy
for me, at least about a drink
I often order in summers breezy
I did not need to stop to think.

In United coach it's Hemispheres!
But for first class as it now appears
A Gershwin tune, the mag named for,
Rhapsody not in my lore,

A Scrabble question - great for me!
Wait what? Ziemia and countries?
In Poland or in Italy,
I could not decide who used more z's.

Made it to five thousand round
The next question for me astounds
Had a feeling it was Steve M.,
But no guessing with lifelines in.

Alright made it to question seven,
A much easier one for me
I  knew the works, ahhhh, thank heaven
Provided the answer quickly.

Now question eight about a drive
Myself and friends times many done
Knew the system so I arrived
At Provo, Utah to prolong my run.

So now we got to question nine
A math problem about baseball
Though I wish still had lifelines
For this did not need one at all.

Now question ten, a big benchmark
With movie quotes I'm in the dark,
Risk twenty-five to win twenty?
The odds no good when at thirty.

A one in three chance, less than double
return on bet and no option
for rebuys, second chances - trouble
so I proceed with utmost caution.

My luck ran out but still success
with cash in hand, no answers wrong
Stuck to my plan to never guess,
And so ok - Millionaire so long!
