Last Week I Learned... NES Original

It's been very difficult to find the NES Classic Edition (the rereleased original 8bit console with a bunch of games preloaded). But it is possible to make your old Nintendo work. All of the games that I thought had broken do still work at my parents house. And it does not require blowing into or shaking the cartridges  or the console. Instead, once inserted, simply slide the cartridge left and right to get the best connection between the leads of the cartridge and the connectors inside the console. I wish I knew this 30 years ago.  

Here is my son "playing" Mickey Mousecapade. Yes, he is standing way too close and his controller is upside down and he is not really doing anyhting.
