We're working on some images to share the work of those whom we turned to when writing the book. My goal is to make one a day (all using Explain Everything). Let's see if Michelle stumbles upon this on social media!

I had never used iCloud Drive with intention until yesterday when I made a tutorial as part of a promotion with a company called Finalsite. Wow - it was super easy to export something there and then access it from a website that allows a file upload. You can see my demo below (not final version) of creating some notes in EE, exporting as PDF to iCloud Drive, and then uploading to a course site on Finalsite's LMS. I wanted to create a scenario where an exported video from Explain Everything was playing on top of screen recording of my making the video in Explain Everything. In iMovie 10, you can put a second video clip on the timeline, then select it, and choose 'Picture in Picture' from the dropdown menu.

Started this for another possible project, abandoned it, then repurposed it.
Working on a small 'book trailer' sharing some audio and video feedback provided to us by leaders in education and technology whom we greatly admire and respect (and who took the tie to read an advance of our book). It will be published soon.
As an experiment, I have taken a trending topic on Twitter, have generated a short video in Explain Everything that is somewhat related (barely), and will tweet out the post to see if anyone retweets it. Also I used the draw fill, grouping of objects, and the send to back option to create the effect of the text on the map. I also Created the project in a 16:9 widescreen HD ratio.
If you have all of your papers in order at arrival, a trip to the Department of Motor Vehicles in Danbury, CT is a pretty pleasant experience. There is a clear board that shows the progress of your 'ticket' status, there is free WiFi, a coffee shop, and clean restrooms. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. I have had 3 trips there so far and each one has been excellent. This is a sharp contrast to my experiences in New Jersey and New York City.
I can't get the screw out of a license plate I am replacing, so I just took off the whole bracket and ordered a new one. I'll send the bracket to the DMV.
I ate ramen today near the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ where a few years ago (6?) I saw Wilco play two night in a row - my first time seeing them live. Here's my tribute to them.
