An article I wrote about one of the cases from a pilot study I conducted two years ago is now available to those who can access journals through school libraries. I don't think I can legally post the entire piece here, but I have posted the abstract and introduction below. You can email me for the full article. The article is titled "Screencasting: Exploring a Middle School Math Teacher's Beliefs and Practices Through the Use of Multimedia Technology."

Screencasts are useful tools for ordinary software users as well: They help filing report bugs in which the screencasts take the place of potentially unclear written explanations; they help showing others how a given task is accomplished in a specific software environment. Thanks.

Screencasts can help demonstrate and teach the use of software features. Creating a screencast helps software developers show off their work. Educators may use screencasts as another means of integrating technology into the curriculum. Thanks.

Hi, Reshan, I enjoyed meeting you during your session at EdTechTeacher iPad Summit yesterday in Boston. Love, love, LOVE, Explain Everything and have put it on all the iPads at our school. I would like to see your article regarding screencasting in Middle School and since you can't post it here, I was wondering if you could send it to me. Thanks.
